With over 20 years of experience as a parliamentarian,
Chris Agius is a member of the cabinet of the Government of Maltese Prime
Minister, Dr Joseph Muscat.
He was born in Cospicua on 17th November
1961. Chris Agius attended Cospicua Primary School, moving on to De La Salle
College in the same locality.
Chris Agius has contested all elections held since
1996. In five legislatures he has held a variety of posts such as spokesman for
the Employment Training Council, Industry and Public Investment and Sports and
Local organisations. In April 2014 he joined the cabinet as Parliamentary
Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sports. In June 2017 he re-joined
the Cabinet as Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and the Property Market.
