The warrant is recognised for providing the services of an engineer in Malta. Engineering is a regulated profession in the interest of public health, safety and security. br br The engineering act defines the eligibility for the warrant as well as the duties and obligations pertaining to a warrant holder. A 240 ECTS engineering degree at MQF Level 6 is necessary, followed by at least three years experience. However, relevant work experience during the degree may be considered by the Engineering Board to contribute up to one year's work experience. In practice engineering warrants are applied for following three years relevant work experience after graduation.
