Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Proejcts Ian Borg and Parliamentary Secretary for Active Ageing and Persons with Disability Silvio Parnis visited the roads of the St Vincent de Paul Residence, where Infrastructure Malta is implementing infrastructural works.

Minister Ian Borg said, “Our commitment to a better quality of life begins with the youngest among us and ends with the oldest. Here, we are investing in a better quality of life for our elderly people, an investment that goes hand in hand with the commitment shown by the Central Government to witness constant improvement in standards with respect to this building and facilities for residents. We will continue investing in our elderly people, we will continue investing so our country’s infrastructure can reach the level desired and expected by the people.”

Parliamentary Secretary for Active Ageing and Persons with Disability Silvio Parnis said that this investment, together with other projects such as the construction of a new extension and the Narċiż building in Saint Vincent De Paul, are a reflection of how much the government believes that older persons deserve a quality of life of the highest standards.

This project includes levelling and surfacing of the parking area, with particular attention to water rollover. Other phases will include new surfaces for parts of the ring road and the complex entrance. The project will also lead to ancillary works, inlcuding repairs of culverts and pavements.
